Sales Manager (UK)

Mammoth Group’s Sit and Sleep Division is looking to recruit a highly motivated and inspirational Sales Manager with responsibility for trade sales with UK independent furniture retailers. Mammoth is a rapidly growing business and brand in the bedding industry. This role will focus on driving sales across the entire independent retail product category through a team of regional sales agents and working with the Mammoth Sit and Sleep, Director; building on double digit growth achieved year on year.

This is a newly created role, presenting an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly expanding business, being an integral part of its growth and success.

Managing a team of up to 7 sales agents throughout the UK, this is a key role in Mammoth’s growth strategy and we are looking for an individual who can lead from the front, supporting agents to maximise sales performance as well as identifying their own new business opportunities.  This individual will also be required to promote and manage the Mammoth brand instore, ensuring our long term branding and growth strategy is delivered. Champion and live the company values at all times.

The post holder will be part of the senior management team at Mammoth and will work predominately remotely and in the field with requirement to travel extensively to meet customers and stakeholders alike.


Key responsibilities:

  • Grow distribution of Mammoth products with new regional independent customers
  • Grow and drive repeat business with existing regional independent customers
  • Motivate and support agents to gain further sales
  • Promote and ensure use of Mammoth Salesforce CRM system
  • Ensure in-store brand campaigns are delivered effectively
  • Develop and deliver the sales strategy and roll out new initiatives across the Comfort Division
  • Report progress and obstacles to Directors
  • Participate into senior management meetings


To deliver the above we would be looking for the following qualities:


  • At least 5 years sales experience in business to retailer market
  • At least 3 years’ experience in managing a sales team
  • Furniture or bedding industry background
  • Experience in managing agents or remote located field sales teams
  • Track record in growing sales and brand building
  • Experience in managing high value brands within retail
  • Manage in-store POS and promotion strategy
  • Self-motivated and determined to achieve results
  • Ability to motivate a team to achieve results
  • Flexible and able to respond calmly under pressure
  • Ability to think strategically as well as tactically
  • Basic IT literacy
  • Full driving licence
